There is something really satisfying about finding the time to do your own projects outside of work, and around family life. Having recently bought a house we have a growing list of things which we want to improve, change or replace. One item on the list is replacing the old letterbox out the front - a simple job really, but not when you want something other than what Mitre 10 has on offer.
I sat down one afternoon and got to drawing some ideas. The most interesting were these geometric shapes. I selected one design, and set about making a cardboard model only to realise that I may have bitten off more than I can chew. However, I am determined to succeed! We have a friend who is quite the handyman so I think an afternoon of experimentation with a sheet of MDF is in order. This may be one project which may not come to fruition, but not through lack of trying!
