I'm pretty excited to be able to blog about my clever fiancé (that never stops sounding weird) and his brave jump from being a desk-bound tv editor to becoming his own boss and starting a career in ceramics. Part of the reason we moved on so quickly from our last house was the need for studio space. Over the last two years our garage has transformed into just that – complete with a potter's wheel, slip casting station and kiln.
Since the launch of Taus, I'm so blown away with the support and enthusiasm of not just friends and family, but complete strangers from all over the globe. As well as being stocked in some really beautiful stores around NZ, Tim's beautiful ceramic Hip Flask has so far hit the shores of Australia and the US and his newly launched Diner Coffee Cup is on its way to Norway.
The future of Taus seems bright and it's so special to witness someone so kind and genuinely creative fulfill his dream. And on top of that he gets to marry ME! This guy's got it all right!
