This week in the office...

The final day of product photography for our summer 2013/14 collection, and a trip to various textile stores searching for new types of fabric to print on. The swatch round up includes brushed cotton, cotton sateen, cotton drill, luscious velvet and more.

A special treat

Ohhhhh, yum! A delivery of Milse chocolates to say 'We loved working with you!' from our summer 2013/14 photographers. Especially loving the Cheetah (citta) card (well, actually its a Leopard but thats ok)

The chocolates were super tasty, and almost too pretty to eat - thank you D & M!!

Preparing for High Tea

In preparation for the high tea experience running in store** this weekend, Emma popped across to Antique Alley to buy some vintage glasses to make a cake stand.
Using our Etiquette plates and some trusty super glue, she quickly whipped up two stands to serve scones on in celebration of Queens birthday weekend.

Production Line

The marketing girls had a small production line running the other day as they prepared invites for our Summer 2013/14 preview for our top customers.

I just stumbled across this video for Orla Kielys AW/13 collection and the 60's theme is the perfect fit for her brand. The office setting and styling is super cute, and Im loving the music too!

While half the team are off site at the summer 2013/14 photoshoot, the other half are busy preparing props for the second half of the shoot.

The weather couldn't be more perfect for day one of our Summer 13/14 photoshoot. And, although our team has taken over his house, the resident cat (below) has been very compliant.

When being co-ordinated goes to far...

We were flicking through an old scandinavian design magazine yesterday and came across this photo. Pants to match your duvet to match your cushion. Something to aspire too? Perhaps not.

taste testing

We got to be official brownie taste testers today. I have to say this would be up there with being one of the best jobs ever!! If anyone else needs some official taste testing done, the Citta Design team would be more than happy to help.

Wow! Im not completely sure what is going on here, but I am totally mesmerised by the colour reactions occurring on this plate.

Out & About

Every few months the design team ventures out of the office to get inspired by the world around them, and on occasion to clear their heads.
Last week, the team headed down to Britomart - an ever changing place of architecture, food, and fashion - and then up to K Rd, which is always sure to delight (or shock!).

5. & 6.  A great find on K Rd - The White Elephant shop - where these beautiful vintage mugs were found. So inspiring!

Colour of the day feature

I am really enjoying the Colour of the Day feature over at Design Sponge.
The brief history surrounding the colour and how it was made is really interesting, and highlights how toxic a lot of colours used to be - some even being linked as the possible cause of death of some well known artists etc.
