{ Out & About }

I recently took a trip to Bali to visit a friend of mine, with my beau. We had such a relaxing time which is not hard to do in 34 degrees. We stayed north of Seminyak near Echo beach, which meant we were near the rice paddies and away from the chaos. After looking at my photos it became obvious what we really love to do most – eat and swim.

The grilled seafood we had right on the beach for dinner one night, was really memorable. Surrounded by candle lights under flowering trees, the night came to a sudden conclusion, as the tide came in and bought rushing waves under our feet.

We hired a scooter to zip around, which makes life so much easier and cooler thanks to the breeze. On one occasion when we were leaving Echo beach, a large Balinese dog hopped on to our scooter. As far as he was concerned he was coming and did not want to hop off. It is often a means of transport for an entire family of four, dog included.

Bali has so much to see and do, even though it is the third time I have visited, I still want to go back for more. Just need to plot my retirement there!
