Do you remember the photo we posted of our fake birthday cake two weeks ago? Well, I thought you might like to see the final result. Doesn't it look divine? Unfortunately the only edible part is the perfectly formed meringues circling the top.

(And a special sneak preview of one of our new trays, in stores next winter)

Our colourful Thalia tea towel, featured on Roomie, adds an element of fun to an all white kitchen.

I can't decide which I want to own more - the cat rug, or the cat scarf. Judging by these two items, anyone would think I was a crazy cat lady, but that isn't the case at all. I just find myself pleasantly charmed by the illustrative work of artist Nathalie Lete, and would easily own a whole collection of her products.

DIP { Design in Progress }

We have an exciting new product being made right here in Auckland, for our upcoming Winter collection. Not to give too much away, but here is a peek into the studio creating the first samples of these items for us. It has been an interesting project, and one that we can't wait to share with you all.

The design room was a hive of activity yesterday, as everyone pitched in to make props for our Winter 2014 photoshoot, which begins today. We had teams painting, printing, gluing, and cutting to create cute little bunnies, birds and a whole lot more.

Nerdy graphic design tip: when printing on craft board (as in image 1), give it several hits of white under the pink pantone colour to achieve good visibility of text.

It's hard to believe that the photoshoot for our Winter 2014 collection is only weeks away. Emma is busy storyboarding each shot, gathering product and props, and putting together a document of inspiration photos showing style, colours and lighting for our stylist and photographer.
