Blooming Toronto

Our stylist Anna Church has recently moved to Toronto for a few years (soooo lucky!) and has been keeping us and all her followers updated via her facebook page. She posted these photos of the flowers in her neighbourhood with this comment:

'Toronto does a lot of things well and the ubaundance of flowers which decorate nearly every street lamp, corner, restaurant and bar are proof of that. These shots were taken around my neighborhood. But today, I spotted the first of many ha
nging pot plants been taken down, sadly they will never survive a winter at 20 below temperatures. I look forward to enjoying them again in the spring. Be assured I will be off to buy a bunch of flowers weekly from the markets to insure I maintain my fresh flower fix!'

Gosh it looks pretty! Toronto - looks like it could be worthy of a visit.

A second Mona Lisa painting found!

How fascinating — A second Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo Da Vinci has been unveiled in Geneva!
It has been authenticated to be a younger version of the Mona Lisa and was probably painted around 1516 when the painter left for France.

Meet the Vintage

Our final character in this inspiration series is 'The Vintage'.
The Vintage is someone who loves wearing clothes which imitate the style of a previous era. They often take on the values and ways of life of eras gone by.

When we think Vintage, we picture polka dots, vintage prints, old style glamour, coloured leather, animal prints, cool style, gold, beautiful jewellery and accessories.

The five characters we have created sum up our overall view on London. When we envisage this great city, we see the Sloane, the Eccentric, the English Rose, the Proper Gent and the Vintage characters strolling the streets going about their daily lives.

Meet the Proper Gent

Ahhhh yes, the proper gent. The quintessential English man. A man regarded as having qualities of refinement associated with a good family. He is cultured, courteous and well educated.
He is a man of gentle birth who is never intentionally rude.

When we picture the proper gent, we see smart leather accessories, pinstripes, check scarves, greys and deep blue, fine checks and knits, smart style, stripes.

Meet our fifth, and final character tomorrow - the Vintage.

colour palette

Our PR lady Lucy loves our Barcelona cushions so much they inspired the colour theme for her sons first birthday party in the weekend.
A couple of old Citta Design teddy bears joined the party too!

Meet the English Rose

The sweet, sweet English Rose.
An attractive English girl with a delicate, fair-skinned complexion, green eyes and rosy cheeks. She is the girl every mother wants their son to marry!

When we think English Rose, we think: Pretty florals, soft hues, decorative aesthetic, soft, feminine style. Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman, high tea, decorative tins and velvets.

Meet our fourth character tomorrow - the Proper Gent.
