We are putting together a limited edition collection of prints as a retrospective of our Senior Designer, Imogen Tunnicliffe’s work from her 10 years with Citta Design. After painstakingly witling it down to eight, we now need YOU to vote for your favourites which will then be available buy in limited numbers from October.

Spotted! Our charming Sleepy Fox print made his debut appearance on The Block last night. This limited edition print from our London Town collection was hand drawn by our designer Amy Tonkin. We think he’s a charming addition to the room.

Our Magnolia Cushion also made an appearance on the sofa, with its Zesty orange floral highlights picking up the burnt orange colour of Sleepy Fox’s fur coat.

{ Last Week in the Office }

The design team headed to the Grey Lynn store on Friday afternoon to create a window display using the new Greece collection tea towels.

{ DESIGN POST }

From time to time we designers dream about how great our prints would look as wallpaper. Here's one of my personal faves –– the Olympia pattern from our summer 2013-14 collection, Greece; Under the Sun.

I thought it would be fun to add our crazy pattern to an already colourful and eclectic space. When it comes to mixing colour and pattern I often find that a carefree & spontaneous approach can result in something delightful!

{ Colour of the Week }

A bright orangey red - this isn't your average hue. Vibrant and cheerful, Geranium makes us feel energised and happy!

{ Greek Long Lunch }

Have you watched our new summer collection video? This was filmed one sunny day, after we had spent the morning cooking a Greek inspired lunch.

Carina created a menu with three dishes -  Greek Salad, Keftethes (Greek Meatballs) and Vegetable Moussaka - and enlisted the help of the rest of the design team to prepare and cook the dishes. The resulting lunch was absolutely delicious, and enjoyed by all.

The design team had a day away from their computers and got their hands dirty painting, printing and attempting to get their creative juices flowing, as they prepare for the next summer collection.

My husband and I have just bought our first home, which is incredibly grown up and very exciting! As we are moving from a two bedroom unit, to a three bedroom house with two lounge/living areas, I am thinking of all the bare wall space I am going to have to fill. This Coast "Fruits" Wall Hanging would be the perfect addition to one of the rooms - the colours are the perfect balance of bright and pastel and look great offset against a white wall.

{ Last week in the office }

We held a morning tea in the office on Friday to fundraise for the Cancer Society's annual Daffodil Day. There was a delicious selection of yummy cakes and slices which had all been devoured by the end of the day.

August (Oops I'm late!) In My Humble Home

I hope you've all had a great month and are looking forward to spring as much as I am.

This month In My Humble Home I'm introducing to you my new home renovation. She's a lovely, solid 1970's ex-state house and in need of quite a few repairs and some major landscaping! So far a few walls have come out, everything has either been wallpapered or painted and the floors in half of the house have been polished. It's coming together nicely, but is slow progress when you're on a tight budget and you're doing everything yourself. We are over the hump of dust being absolutely everywhere so that's certainly reason to celebrate!

We did however get stuck into the bathroom as it required a complete refit from top to toe. We were totally inspired by a pink/navy/gold colour palette and I'm so glad we stuck with it... truth be told, I did get a little scared! The pink pedestal sink was found on Trade Me and with my special magpie-powers I managed to find gold taps that fit perfectly. 

With such a lovely colour palette the best thing has been the final touches - adding in a Citta Design towel here and there, and discovering some gold goodies like the Futugami towel rail from Everyday Needs and hooks from Douglas + Bec.
