St Kevin's Arcade

Things have gone pretty quiet recently on the Citta Design blog and not without good reason.  We've been super busy out on location shooting our new summer collection.  We chose the gorgeous yet grungy St Kevin's Arcade and surrounding Myers Park this time and, thanks to the all the people in and around the arcade it was the perfect spot!
Peter and everyone from cafe Alleluya were super accomodating, if you aren't a regular there you should be, the environment is something special, even better if you are lucky enough to get a spot in the sun looking out over Myers Park.
Our favourite photographer / stylist team Kevin Emirali and Anna Church once again brought in that something special to make every shot perfect!
Looking forward to launching our new Summer collection, August doesn't seem that far away now - fingers crossed for a sunny summer this time!

Crafternoon

We are having a break from our computers this afternoon and making props for our Summer 2012/13 photoshoot, which is taking place next week. Things are going to be crazy busy for the next wee while, but stay tuned for behind the scene photos.

Creative People Doing Their Thing

One of the best and most inspiring things to me as a creative person is seeing my creative friends doing their thing - whether it's music, dance, graphic design, film or fashion, it's always an awe-inspiring and moving thing to see people you know and love really following their passions and expressing themselves through their creative talents. Here is bit of an excerpt/compilation I made from a feature in the Devonport Craft Market's blog on my friend Lucy Patterson (follow the link for the full interview)...

To get to the links Lucy mentions click here for her blog/website, here for her Etsy shop and here for her original printed fabrics at Spoonflower.
